She had been sentenced to 15 years to life for each of the 20 counts that had resulted in 11 other charges

The rapper had been on probation since 2012 when she was found guilty of five counts of aggravated sexual assault and one for kidnapping and sexual battery after she raped a woman at gunpoint near her home

The Grammy winner had been sentenced to three years for the five aggravated sexual assaults on March 20

A rapper convicted of multiple rape counts told a judge she couldn’t remember what happened during a brutal attack in which she held a gun to her victim’s head and threatened to kill her, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.

Ashanti Phillips, who performs under the stage name ‘Superfly,’ was sentenced to 50 years-to-life in prison on Wednesday after she was convicted of 20 counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of kidnapping and sexual battery for the rape of a woman she held at gunpoint in the parking lot of her home in February 2017 in Miami.

The Grammy winner had been on probation since 2012 when she was found guilty of five counts of aggravated sexual assault and one for kidnapping and sexual battery after she raped a woman at gunpoint near her home in February 2017.

Before she was sentenced, Phillips was given credit for the time served from January 10 to February 1.

The 25-year-old rapper pleaded with the judge to give her a chance to do her time instead of the maximum sentence.

‘It breaks my heart but you don’t have to do the time like this. I just need to go home. I just want to go home,’ said Phillips
